There are a lot of things I can say about Stacy and bootcamp class. I can tell you how amazing, dynamic, challenging and fun her workouts are, how class is such a great group setting, and how working out in the park under the stars is magical. I can tell you how by training with her I have gone from being a couch potato to a triathlete, and how over the past year I have achieved a fitness level I never thought I could. But really all that matters is to know that Stacy is incomparable to any other trainer and bootcamp class you will ever find. If you have been looking around, stop right now. You will not find anyone else with such a unique combination of expertise, creativity, and leadership, who has the ability to apply these skills to helping you achieve your goals and be your best. Class is not about Stacy - it is about Stacy helping you. What she brings to the table is not just a kick ass workout, but inspiration and motivation for you to be your best and to keep pushing for your goals no matter what. If you are serious about being healthy, happy and continuously challenged, you have met your match.
I am not sure what finally clicked in my brain when we talked a few weeks ago, but knowing that you won't let me settle for mediocre and that you are always there to support me has helped me realize that I need to push myself to be the best I can be. It's actually amazing what you can do when you don't have those mental barriers up. I know I got a long way to go, but just wanted to let you know you how much of an impact it had and that you are awesome.
I needed to get back in shape after having twins. I had been to Stacy's Bootcamp before and knew this is exactly what I needed to loose the 60 pounds I had gained. In about 3 months I was BELOW my pre-pregnancy weight and was more toned after having babies than I was before. Stacy's is the best fitness coach I have experienced. She mixes in the right amount of cardio and strength-based training to really transform your body. She knows the right amount of encouragement to give you and what you can handle and pushes you outside of your comfort level, so you can see results. I would 100% recommend Stacy's Bootcamp to anyone that wants to stay in shape or get in shape. She will transform your body!
After four years of Stacy's Boot Camp, I can honestly say that it's the most intense, exhilarating, challenging, fun workout. What's great about Stacy's Bootcamp is that every class is different - I have never done the same workout twice. And Stacy has the unique ability to create workouts that can be tailored to each individual's fitness level. Everybody leaves class feeling like they got an amazing workout. Stacy takes an active interest in helping her clients achieve their fitness and nutritional goals. Thanks to Stacy, I'm in the best shape of my life.
Incorporating Stacy into my fitness life has opened my eyes to a much more interesting way to get fit. She is always changing and evolving my workouts; she is always a challenge. When I came crawling to Stacy, I was 6 months postpartum with my twins. I was a runner before, during and after pregnancy but was guilty of something many runners are guilty of - Exercise Tunnel Vision. I ran almost daily but was not diversifying beyond that at all. After the twins were born I began running as soon as I could, and I got comfortable in a rut of slow, steady jogs along the same path every day. It's not that my fitness level was poor, it's that I was not strong. My legs felt heavy and slow, my knees were hurting, my hips felt wobbly and I had zero upper body strength. I was losing my love of running and fitness fast... I needed help.
Stacy took less than a month to whip me into shape. My arms, back and abs regained definition. My legs once again felt agile, and I became a stronger, faster, more efficient athlete than I had ever been before.

Phil and I were so madly in love, we did everything together...watched the same shows, discovered our favorite parts of the city, AND ate the same exact things IN the same quantities. Phil being 6'2" and myself 5'2", I put on the lbs FAST. After Phil proposed, I knew I had to get it together and start getting in shape for wedding pictures that we would have on display for the rest of our lives. After trying a personal trainer, group classes at the gym, and some infomercial "Dance the Weight Off" DVDs, I found Stacy's Bootcamp. I signed us up (without Phil knowing), and told Phil if it sucked, we didn't have to go back. (Almost 2 years later, we are still getting up for Stacy's 5:30am class...so you know how that worked out). After explaining to Stacy my goals for the wedding and what my wedding dress looked like, she put together a food plan and exercises I could do on my own so I could look my best on the big day. Every week I would weigh in and talk to her about my goals and food choices for the upcoming week. Without Stacy's unwavering motivation, support, guidance, enthusiasm, humor (the list could go on), I would not have been able to lose 45 lbs and feel like a stunning bride on my wedding day (and after!). Phil and I are now bootcampers for life (and will probably name our first born after Stacy...just kidding), and know that Stacy will help us achieve any of our goals!
I decided to go to Stacy's with a friend of mine to get in shape for the summer. We walked into it expecting a big transformation in our bodies that we could reveal on Fire Island one hot weekend a few months later. Well, after a few months we got just that! I had been trying to lose some weight and tone my body after a few years in grad school, and Stacy helped me make the leap to that last step. As a person who has always played sports, the best comparison I can draw is something like a pre-season practice. Stacy really pushed us, and I was surprised how quickly I got stronger and faster. A lot of activities like water skiing and hiking became easier, and I was surprised and excited when I began winning places in various races I had been running for years without coming close to placing. She also helped me with what I eat and got me on track to a more nutritious diet and slim down to my goal weight easily and effectively.
Our newly toned bodies fit perfectly in our swimsuits, and that weekend was FUN. What I did not expect to find were the friendships and the way of life that came surprisingly easily with Bootcamp. As a person who tends to gravitate toward community and groups, I found people who had many of the same things on their minds and a really great group who have become a part of my daily life. The class, Stacy, the other bootcampers, and my mornings in the park have become a huge part of my day. It is by far the most fun, social, and rigorous training I have ever had in my life - I cannot imagine not having Stacy and bootcamp in my life! I can go on forever about the mental, physical and social benefits of bootcamp, but will just say I am thinking sharper, achieving and maintaining my fitness goals, having a hell of a lot of fun, and feel GREAT. I will also say that as a very busy person, this is an amazing way to pack what would take me 3 hours in the gym to achieve into an hour before work!

My boot camp story is a bit different. I grew up under the influence of my mother's fitness studio. She was a pioneer in personal training as a science and art. Being a 'spirited' kid, Mom's gym became my haven. As a result, I was able to spend my formative years dipping in and out of fitness. Over time life got busy and I moved on. :( Unfortunately my mother passed away last year. With the impact of her loss, I once again found myself falling back into the world of fitness... Enter Stacy's Bootcamp. What happened next is just amazing. Between diet and bootcamp I lost forty -- yes, 40 -- pounds in one summer. Stacy's camp was a great way for me to channel all that angst and loss in a positive direction. (Let's be honest, it's impossible for anyone who completes even one session to feel anything but pride and accomplishment.) I'm 5'9" tall, and my starting weight was 197 pounds (no bueno). At the end of 3 months I went down to 153 lbs. I was shredded... cut... sculpted, and re-made in the image of the Mistress of the Bootcamp. Like I said, I've always dipped in and out of fitness, but never have I been in this kind of shape. With Stacy's Bootcamp, I also feel "foundationally strong" - something I was never able to achieve on my own. Stacy has not only reignited my passion for fitness and brought me closer to my mom's teachings, she has made me realize how training efficiency is soooo important. Thank you, Stacy...for all your support. Your dedication has taken me to a level of fitness I never thought possible. I'm even taking on my first triathalon!

With a strong preference for outdoor sports, Stacy's Bootcamp has proven to be the best possible workout I could have imagined in NYC. Half a year ago, I set myself two goals: 1) Don't go to the gym (which makes me unhappy); and 2) Get in shape within two months in order to climb mount Kilimanjaro. Never thought the results would also include losing weight, gaining some serious muscle and, consequently, confidence. After two months, I was ready for the climb and I saw so many changes in my body and mind that I decided to continue bootcamp after my return (and successful climb of Kili!). This workout is hard at the beginning (I started bootcamp after a period of doing nothing at all), but delivers like nothing else - and the good news is that you see yourself improve every week. I now feel energized after I go to bootcamp after a long day of sitting inside behind a computer, and have never felt more comfortable in my own skin... it's simply addicting! Stacy knows how to motivate and is very knowledgable. She actively works with you towards your goals. I highly recommend these classes, and I'm enjoying the best workout of my life!

I am so thankful to have found you. You are truly incredible at what you do and an amazing motivater. Thanks to your bootcamp..I was able to look absolutely amazing on my 40th. I decided to shock my family and friends with a fitted sequins off the shoulder mini. Most folks have never seen me in anything above my knees, much less fitted. I turned every head and then some. I even heard...wow her legs are solid...I never knew her arms looked like that. I chalked it all up to the amazing Stacy. So I thank you for all of my planks, buddhas, angry lizards...and every other move that makes me want to curse you out...smiles it is truly worth it.. Smooches you are simply the best.
I won a three week bootcamp session as part of a silent auction, never thinking that I would actually cash in on the experience. Before joining bootcamp I was an overweight marathon "runner," who thought that the back of the pack was where I belonged. Stacy kicked my ass during the first session, and continues to do so today. She never let me give up on myself, even when I came to realize that I couldn't complete a single push-up. The workouts are tough, but there is nothing like working out as you watch the sun rise over Central Park. There is no doubt in my mind that without Stacy I would still be the slow girl in spandex, barely making it across the finish line. Almost a year later I have lost 15 pounds, increased my pace per mile by over a minute and a half, and no longer cover up my body in baggy clothing. I love Stacy's bootcamp and the confidence it has given me!
After winning Stacy's Bootcamp Weight Loss Competition, having lost over 35lbs, I was all set for my next challenge. I found out I got into the NYC marathon. I had done it before in 2008, however, I had not incorporated Stacy's Bootcamp into my marathon training. This time I did Stacy's Bootcamp right up until the week of the marathon. WOW - what a difference it made. The strength and resistance training, sprints, hill work and all the other things we love to do in bootcamp made me into such a better runner. My running friends are amazed by my ability to tackle hills. I was able to knock off 45 mins from my previous time. That is truly an amazing accomplishment. I discovered Stacy's Bootcamp about 6 months ago...and it has been one of the best kept secrets of NYC! I was bored with the gym, doing the same workout repeatedly, and wanted a full body workout that showed results and kept me interested. Stacy's bootcamp is just that. Her workouts use elements of the park (benches, stairs, hills, etc.) combined with military exercises that are guaranteed to show results...and she is by far the best motivator, no slacking on her watch! I have now lost 18lbs, feel stronger and more connected to my body, and love heading to Central Park 3 days a week after work. It truly is an incredible and very addicting experience everyone should try!
I was initially drawn to Stacy's class because I was just looking for a short 3 week program to help me get back into good shape after a series of muscle injuries. I had no intention of doing the program past the original 3 week session, however, the results
were so immediate and impact-full, that I decided to do a few more sessions. Within three months, I had clearly gained 10 to 15% additional quickness on the court and gained endurance and lean muscle. Before long, I was hooked - and here 3 years later, I can't imagine not being part of Stacy's Bootcamp. Whatever your reasons to join, she pushes you just enough so that you are not only able to meet your objectives, but also set new loftier ones - oh, and it's actually a fun time!
